Bruce Ryskamp
Bruce Ryskamp received his BA degree from Calvin University, majoring in Economics and Math. He went on to earn his MBA in Marketing from Michigan State University.
Bruce worked for R.H Donnelley in Chicago for 19 years. He served in several management positions concluding his time as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He then accepted a position with the Zondervan Corp, the world’s largest publisher and retailer of religious books, Bibles and music. He served his last 12 years with Zondervan as President and CEO.
He and his wife, Jeralyn, have been married for 56 years and have been blessed with 3 children and 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Bruce has had the privilege to serve on several nonprofit and for-profit boards during his career. In addition, his family has established a fund to support families who desire to adopt children with special needs from developing countries. This takes the form of grants and interest free loans to help these families who require financial assistance to complete their adoptions.
His deep passion to find a cure for FSHD comes from his own family. Bruce’s daughter and 2 of her children, who are twins, are suffering from this disease.
