Chief Program Stategist
Leigh A. Reynolds joined the FSHD Society staff in December 2019 after working with us as a consultant for the past several years, most notably leading the development of the Chapter and Walk & Roll programs. Leigh has worked in non-profit leadership and capacity building for more than 25 years, most often in the patient advocacy space. Immediately prior to joining the FSHD Society, Leigh was the founder and managing director of a private consulting firm that focused on "helping the people that help the world." For more than 8 years, Altimeter Consulting and University 501 have focused on providing coaching, strategic direction, capacity building, and direct support to non-profit organizations across the US. Before launching her own consulting firm, Leigh served on the leadership and development teams for the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. Driven to make a difference, she has dedicated her career to the non-profit sector.
Leigh earned her degree in Journalism and Strategic Marketing from the University Kansas. She is also an accomplished public speaker and corporate trainer, a singer, a living kidney donor, a community volunteer and – what she is most proud of – a mother of three, the youngest of whom is autistic.
