Physical therapy and exercise are important if you have FSHD, but making regular trips to a physical therapist can be challenging if you have mobility or transportation challenges. Join us to learn about getting in-home visits: how to arrange for it, how to get insurance coverage for it, and knowing your rights regarding coverage for maintenance PT.
Our special guest is Jhana Wilson, PT. Jhana works as a Home Health Physical Therapist for CenterWell Home Health Agency in Silverdale, Washington. Jhana earned her Physical Therapy degree at University of Santo Tomas in 2011 while living in her country of origin, the Philippines. She immigrated to the US in 2014 and has been working in different Transitional care units and long-term care facilities before switching to home health practice. She is very well versed in treating individuals with neuromuscular diseases, including FSHD and specializes in Seating and Wheelchair assessment. She is experienced in the intricacies of Medicare and Medicare Maintenance Program for individuals such as those with neuromuscular diseases. She will be sharing her wisdom at our August 22, 2024, Feeling Fit session. Please join us and bring your questions about or Physical Therapy needs and if a maintenance program through Medicare might work for you.
Para las personas que viven con FSHD y están interesadas en el ejercicio y el acondicionamiento físico, nos reunimos el segundo y cuarto jueves de cada mes a las 12:00 p. m.
