Design a shirt for the 2026 T-Shirt Design Contest. Submissions close Feb 28!

Join us for an engaging FSHD University session with Frank Hanley as he explores practical strategies to improve balance, stability, and confidence while reducing the risk of falls. Frank will focus on two key themes: Stepping – Learn how deliberate, well-placed steps can enhance stability and make movement safer, even for those with limited mobility. Mindfulness – Discover how staying mentally present—being aware of the floor beneath you, lighting, and potential obstacles—can help you move more safely and confidently. Frank will also guide participants through a Tai Chi-inspired practice, demonstrating how slow, intentional movements can train the body and mind to work together, supporting better balance and coordination. A martial artist, author, and teacher of Taijiquan (tai chi), kung fu, and Qigong, Frank hosts the Feeling Fit program and shares exercises designed to help people living with FSHD stay active and engaged. As the founder and former director of the FSHD Society South Carolina Chapter, Frank brings both personal experience and practical expertise to this empowering session.
