Presenter: Emma Weatherley, Project Mercury Chair

Join Project Mercury Chair Emma Weatherly as we reflect on three remarkable years of global collaboration and look ahead to an even more critical phase. Project Mercury began with a simple but urgent realization: promising FSHD therapies were advancing faster than the world’s delivery systems could support them. What started as an ambitious idea has now become an operational reality spanning ten countries—Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In this session, discover what we’ve accomplished together through patient-led, coordinated collaboration:

  • Launching and expanding FSHD registries with over 10,000 patients enrolled globally
  • More than doubling qualified clinical trial sites from 25 to 53
  • Developing toolkits and frameworks
  • Fundamentally shifting the conversation around patient access from reactive to proactive preparedness

This webinar will offer insight into the strategic priorities for the year ahead and how Project Mercury will transition into a sustainable global platform within the World FSHD Alliance ecosystem. Whether you’re a patient, advocate, clinician, or researcher, this update demonstrates what we can achieve when we choose to work together across borders, disciplines, and differences, and what’s still possible as we prepare for the transformative therapies on the horizon.
