Whatever the need, state vocational rehabilitation (VR) programs can provide eligible individuals with the services that they need to achieve their employment goals. She works as an Advocate for Disability Rights Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Council for Rehabilitation Services, appointed to represent applicants to and recipients of VR services. Marisa lives with FSHD and has previously received VR services to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
