Our guest is Don Burke, an FSHD Society member who recently retired from a high-impact career in the federal government. “It would be an honor to share my insights from a 25 year learning journey to be able to retire early,” he says, “and to convey some thoughts about FSHD-specific considerations” when it comes to putting your life on a solid financial footing.

FSHD Young Professionals is a social and support group focused on encouraging and empowering young adults impacted by FSHD. We created this space specifically for younger FSHDers to connect, collaborate, and provide networking opportunities. Whether you’re just graduating, starting a new position, or already on a career track, the FSHD Young Professionals group will help you develop a valuable network of friends facing similar challenges.

Nuestro grupo está organizado y moderado por voluntarios que están deseando conectar contigo. Nos reunimos dos veces al mes a través de Zoom. Una de las reuniones se centrará en escuchar a un profesional hablar sobre un tema concreto, con tiempo para preguntas y respuestas o debate; la otra será una hora social centrada en la conversación, la conexión y la diversión. Participa en ambas reuniones o solo en una, según te lo permita tu agenda.
