Our guest is Don Burke, an FSHD Society member who recently retired from a high-impact career in the federal government. “It would be an honor to share my insights from a 25 year learning journey to be able to retire early,” he says, “and to convey some thoughts about FSHD-specific considerations” when it comes to putting your life on a solid financial footing.

FSHD Young Professionals is a social and support group focused on encouraging and empowering young adults impacted by FSHD. We created this space specifically for younger FSHDers to connect, collaborate, and provide networking opportunities. Whether you’re just graduating, starting a new position, or already on a career track, the FSHD Young Professionals group will help you develop a valuable network of friends facing similar challenges.

Notre groupe est animé et facilité par des bénévoles qui sont enthousiastes à l'idée d'entrer en contact avec vous. Nous nous réunissons deux fois par mois via Zoom. L'une d'entre elles sera consacrée à l'audition d'un professionnel sur un sujet précis, avec un temps de questions/réponses/discussion ; l'autre sera une heure sociale axée sur la conversation, la connexion et l'amusement. Participez aux deux réunions ou à une seule, selon votre emploi du temps.
