For people living with FSHD, looking after your physical health can present additional challenges. However, while we are waiting for effective drugs to be developed, it is one of the most important things we can do. Here are some resources that can help, but don’t forget to consult with your doctor(s)! We cannot provide medical advice, but we can offer guidance that has been shared by others living with FSHD.
This virtual community meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 12:00 pm ET /9:00 am PT.
Feeling Fit with FSHD is for people living with FSHD who are interested in exercise and fitness. Come dressed for exercise and have on hand any safety and assistive devices you need. Our group is hosted by knowledgeable volunteers with a passion for helping those with FSHD live their best life through fitness activities that are accessible to them. Not every exercise is appropriate or safe for every individual, so please use your best judgement and consult your health care provider.
Join the GroupEating “right” can feel tricky, no matter what your circumstances are. Selina Lai, registered Dietician, has compiled some valuable information to help FSHD patients get started.
