The FSH Society’s Second Annual “Songs in the Key of Steven Blier,” held on Friday evening, July 17, was a grand and elegant affair. Over 150 guests bid on a tantalizing array of auction items, enjoyed a delectable buffet dinner, and laughed at the antics of auctioneer Liam Mayclem.
And the music…! Steven Blier and Julia Bullock were a pure delight from beginning to end, transporting the audience on a journey across the hills and valley of experience. We who were in the room were very privileged to be in their presence. The audience hung on every note and the standing ovations at the end were entirely earned.
It will be a few weeks before we have a full accounting of the evening’s proceeds, but from from our quick tally it appears we may have just exceeded $150,000 in gross revenue. Heartfelt thanks to our amazing event committee and dozens of volunteers whose commitment and hard work made this evening possible. We are so grateful to our sponsors and attendees for their generosity.
