First, a heartfelt thank you to all who responded to the initial notice calling for volunteers to participate in the UC Irvine study of FSHD. The study seeks to investigate a new method to measure functional mobility in the FSHD population in preparation for future therapeutic clinical trials.
Volunteers are still needed for the study of FSHD. The investigators hope to complete enrollment by the end of October. The clock is ticking! The faster people volunteer, the sooner the study will have the data needed by companies that are developing FSHD treatments.
