Dr. Bakri Elshiekh

And those who have known of their diagnosis for a while may appreciate a refresher course in this complicated condition. Dr. Bakri Elsheikh will speak about what every person newly diagnosed with FSHD should know about their condition, prognosis, managing symptoms, and research and clinical trials and answer your questions. Dr. Elsheikh is a neurologist who specializes in neuromuscular medicine and clinical neurophysiology. He currently serves as principal investigator of the FSHD Clinical Trial Research Network (CTRN) at The Ohio State University and director of OSU’s Muscular Dystrophy Association Care Center. He has extensive clinical trial experience in rare neuromuscular disorders and is involved in current FSHD trials.
